UPS UPS industry definition

UPS (uninterruptible power system / uninterruptible power supply) is a system equipment that connects the battery (mostly lead-acid maintenance free battery) with the host and converts the DC power to the mains power through the inverter module circuit of the host. It is mainly used to provide stable and uninterrupted power supply for single computer, computer network system or other power electronic equipment, such as solenoid valve, pressure transmitter, etc. When the mains power input is normal, ups will supply the load after the mains power is stabilized. At this time, UPS is an AC mains voltage stabilizer, and it also charges the battery in the machine. When the mains power is interrupted (power failure in case of accident), ups will immediately supply the DC power of the battery to the load by the method of inverter zero switching, so as to maintain the normal work of the load and protect the soft power of the load The hardware is not damaged. UPS equipment usually can provide protection for over voltage or under voltage.

UPS UPS industry classification

UPS is divided into three types according to its working principle: backup type, online type and online interactive type.

Among them, the most commonly used is backup UPS, which has the most basic and important functions of UPS, such as automatic voltage stabilization and power-off protection. Although it generally has about 10 ms conversion time, it is widely used in the fields of microcomputer, peripherals and POS machine because of its simple structure, low price and high reliability.

The output of sine wave UPS is divided into backup power supply and backup power supply.

Backup type sine wave output UPS power supply: single machine output can be 0.25kw ~ 2kW, when the power supply changes between 170V ~ 264v, it can provide the user with the power treated by voltage regulator; when the power supply exceeds 170V ~ 264v, it can provide high-quality sine wave power supply by UPS.

Backup square wave output UPS power supply: different from backup sine wave output UPS power supply, it only provides 50 Hz square wave power supply for users.

The structure of On-line UPS is complex, but its performance is perfect, and it can solve all power problems, such as four-way PS series. Its remarkable feature is that it can continuously output pure sine wave AC without interruption, and it can solve all power problems such as peak, surge, frequency drift, etc In the middle.

Compared with the backup UPS, the Online Interactive UPS has filtering function, strong anti power * ability, conversion time is less than 4ms, and the inverter output is analog sine wave, so it can be equipped with servers, routers and other network equipment, or used in areas with poor power environment.
